Thrifty Thursday 6.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
I bought this book at a flea market they have every Sunday about a half hour away from my house. A young boy was selling tons of great books but was kinda pricey for a flea market. However, I had been looking for a copy to have of my own for a while. I paid $6 for it.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderful and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll.
I got this from the "used books" rack at my public library for 50 cents! It's my favorite book and I've read it numerous times and even did my senior research paper on it. My old copy was ridiculously worn with pages falling out at the binding so this was a nice replacement.

Belt.
I bought this belt from a young girl at a flea market. She was about my age and was selling a bunch of clothing all from really nice stores. She also had a hobby of making little houses out of leaves and other materials from nature to make it look like they were inhabited by fairies. They were all beautifully crafted but I unfortunately lost her business card to give her the credit she deserves. I got this canvas and leather Gap belt for $2. It's great to wear around the mid waist with dresses, skirts, and shirts.

Paradise - Coldplay.

Wayfarer sunglasses: Ray Ban - $120
Over-sized tee: American Eagle - $12
Scarf: Converse - $5
Leggings: Forever 21 - $7
Combat boot: Charlotte Russe - $40

Ebay find.

Bid on this vintage bohemian lace poncho today. I won:)
Bought it for $6! $2 bid, $4 shipping.

Teaser.

Like I said earlier, I was modeling for Nick's school project.
Here's a teaser, I'll share more with you when he's finished editing:) ENJOY.

Dress In Tub Teaser.

The dress is my aunt Julie's old prom dress from the 80's/90's. I found it a few months ago in my grandmothers attic, and it happens to fit me like a glove. I wish I had it for my own prom but instead it makes a great outfit for photo shoots!

Film.

If you're bored, check out Nick's flickr page. He's been using a film camera and scanning them onto the computer for school. You can contact him if you're interested in purchasing any prints:)

Ames Mansion, Easton.

Sorry for the lack of outfit posts. REALLLY sorry. I've been busy, and my lovely photographer has been even busier with lots of school. We will be having a photo shoot tonight! It will be for school work for him, but I'll be sure you post them on here for you all to see. SO, here are a few pictures of the abandoned mansion that I went to last Monday with my friends Kelli, Kayla, and Sarah. (All of these pictures were taken by Sarah so I'm not taking any credit). It was huge and beautiful and the weather was perfect.

^this is to show you how huge the house is! SO BIG.

Bordeaux - Essie.

Painted my nails today. Now off to a work meeting from 5-8.. No fun. Also, Nick and I carved pumpkins the other night. It was pretty difficult, to be honest. I did a Boba Fett for him (a Star Wars character). I'll post more outfit related posts this week, I promise. Seeee yahhhh laterrrrr.

Mobile Upload.

Seriously sorry for the lack of outfit updates.. I just have not had the chance to take any since it's been raining here and there, and it's difficult to get people to photograph them for me. SORRY! I just threw on some jeans that are Banana Republic given to me from my grandmother, a striped Forever 21 long sleeve shirt, black Mossimo blazer, black ballet flats from Charlotte Russe, and a red/orange scarf from H&M. Picture quality is absolutely terrible.. Anyways, had an open house for school today that my mom and I went to together. We ended up skipping out of the tour a little early for some shopping and frozen yogurt on Newbury Street instead. (SO worth it). I purchased an adorable maroon scarf and a red-orange blouse both from H&M that I'll be sure to post later tonight.

RJMH.

I'm stuck babysitting my little sister Rylie tonight, and she decided that she would like to make a guest appearance on my blog. Haha, I was editing pictures when she asked if we could use Photobooth for a bit. So if you're bored, here's some pictures to you ;-)

Thrift Thursday 5.

You've probably seen this ring before from previos posts, but this is a sterling silver spoon ring that I purchased from a flea market about 2 years ago. It was $22. The engraving isn't too distinct but I actually prefer it like that since I have a very detailed bracelet with a spoon detailing on it. I rarely ever take it off and I usually even get tan lines from it, whoops! :)

Long weekend.

Today's post is a little more on the personal level compared to my usual fashion posts. (There is a few articles of clothing I purchased at Target the other night, however). I spent the majority of my weekend spending time with friends and family. I had the day off of work on Saturday and was very productive. I got a few new books to read at the library. I'm starting off with Paper Towns by John Green. I continued my day with coffee, lunch and shopping with my wonderful father, and gathering ingredients to make dinner for Nick and myself. I made rattle snake pasta (which is somewhat like chicken alfredo with penne pasta, but with a little kick of jalapenos) followed by cupcakes for dessert! It turned out absolutely delicious! Sunday morning I worked and then took a long walk and had lunch with my friend Kasey who was home from college for the weekend. It was really nice being able to catch up. Here are a few pictures of what my weekend consisted of.

I found this little box of tea bags while looking through my grandmothers cabinets gathering ingredients. I thought it was rather cute but I was too afraid to try to teabags inside, since it looked like it had aged quite a bit.

 $3 top, and $3 bottom!
 Over-the-knee socks: $2.50
Navy crew neck and maroon v-neck long sleeve shirts: $8 each. (PERFECT for layering)
 Floral tank: $7

This is actually a lot more purple then the picture shows. $4
Tanktop: $3
This picture is from my quick run early this morning. I woke up just in time to see the sky look absolutely beautiful. This picture gives the sky no justice as to how nice it really looked.

Thrifty Thursday 4.

I found this mannequin in a large dumpster at a yard sale about 2 years ago. It was completely covered in black and green mold, but my mom decided that she could definitely bleach it and make it look as good as new again. I paid $5, even though the people getting rid of it were willing to just throw it away. But they wouldn't let me take it for free. Oh well. Because it's older, the body frame is thicker than the mannequins sold today so I cannot use it for putting my own clothes on it. So instead, I use it for decoration and organize all of my necklaces on it.
