A few more.

Here's a few more from the shoot I talked about not too long ago.

Thrift shopping success.

Blazers: $6 each
Books: $1 each
Leopard skirt: $4
Lace top: $4

Last week, I went thrift shopping with Nick and we both were rather successful! He got five ties and a few books. I bought two blazers, two books, a leopard print maxi skirt, and a lace crop top and only spent $22. I did not realize that the skirt had a slit on the side, but that will be an easy fix. And the striped blazer was just picked up from the dry cleaners yesterday!

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.

My goal for 2012 is to see how many books I can read for the entire year. Today I finished reading my seventh book, which was Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer. It was extremely interesting and gave various perspectives from different characters; I really enjoy when books do that. I don't want to talk too much about the book besides the fact that I HIGHLY recommend reading it.

So far...
1. Beastly - Alex Flinn
2. Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children - Ransom Riggs
3. Jay's Journal - Anonymous
4. One Day - David Nicholls (MUST READ!)
5. The Fault in Our Stars - John Green (ANOTHER MUST READ)
6. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time - Mark Haddon
7. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - Jonathan Safran Foer

Valentine's Day.

Hellllllo! Happy Valentine's Day :) Because I have work tonight and had class all day, Nick and I went out for a lovely dinner last night! I baked him Star Wars cupcakes, of course they were delicious, and Nick got me a new pair of headphones which I was in desperate need of :) Last week, I had a photo shoot with my friend Steph. She goes to school for photography and most of her projects are boudoir photo shoots. She asked if I was interested in modeling for her, so here are a few shots. I haven't seen the rest of them but I'll keep you updated. Make sure you check out her website!

Inspiration: WWII Aviation.

For this weeks drawing assignment at school, we are required to research and inquire inspiration from the military uniforms of World War II, especially what clothing aviators were required to wear and create a spring/summer collection. The past few assignments have been interesting but this particular assignment I am extremely excited to work on. Here are some photos that caught my attention while I was seeking inspiration! The color scheme is wonderful.

HELLO!

WOW! I haven't updated in SO long!!! I have been so busy and so much has changed in the past month or so. I have started school officially and I absolutely love it! I am currently taking Drawing, Flat Pattern, Draping, and Trigonometry (I despise math classes). Also, I have started a new job at Francesca's Collections that sells a variety of flashy jewelry and clothing for young to middle aged women. I have been taking some time to adjust to my new schedule, and since I'm at home today recovering from being sick, I decided to say hello, and I'm back! My wonderful boyfriend and I celebrated our FIVE year anniversary on January 19th<3 We spent the evening going out to dinner, followed by a fun "photo booth" photo shoot. Enjoy the pictures, I'll be sure to update more often :)
